The Rebel Duo is, as the name suggests, the two-person version of our popular Rebel 2K. The 2K², so to speak, including a double spraydeck and two massive TubeBags. Besides the typical Rebel features, it has the following extras.

The front backrest also supports the middle of the deck. This stops water pooling between the two paddlers. Ideally, it should be fully inflated.

Open configuration

The spraydeck can be fixed in such a way that you virtually have an open boat without having to remove the spraydeck completely. This freedom and flexibility is especially appreciated in summer and in warm climates.

Plus(+) fabric

For the Rebel Duo there is the material version Plus(+). High-density, extra-strong 420/840 denier nylon and a thicker TPU coating on the floor provide safety in white water and reserve for increased use, e.g. as a tour organiser. The colours Terra Red+ and Fresh Green+ are either picturesque or camouflage. .

Generous floor

The robust floor generously covers the tubes. Even with heavier loads and moving water, this provides extra protection. In addition, the front and rear fin mounts (holding the skegs) provide extra floor protection.

With the skegs mounted, we have picked up quite some speed and are not much slower than with a canoe. The combination was just right – so much so that I’m considering crossing the whole of Lake Saimaa next year.

It is no secret. The Rebel Duo has a successful reference. However, the Duo was not simply a stretched 2K, but adapted to the requirements of a light, extensively equipped double. We replicated what worked well and added new ideas (see features above). The result is a packraft for two that leaves nothing to be desired.

Together on the water. A double for all conditions. You are faster, lighter, closer together on the way. Just like its solo counterpart, the Rebel Duo is versatile and reliable, whether it’s a river tour, wild waters or a lake. It’s a boat for many occasions.

The spray deck extends the range of use to conditions such as cold, rain, spray water or wind. This is not only a convenience but an important safety aspect. The spraydeck can be easily opened and closed; in warm, calm conditions you can also paddle with the top rolled up. This makes the Rebel Duo well suited to summer tours, hot areas or trips with frequent exits, portages or sightseeing. The closure is not 100% watertight (some water can get in via the velcro zipper), but perfectly adequate in moderate conditions.

The integrated TubeBags allow extensive river tours with lots of luggage, from family vacations to expeditions. The transport capacity of the boat is significantly increased. Transporting luggage inside ensures a low center of gravity, protection from moisture and reduced susceptibility to wind.

The set-up is super quick and easy, we’ve packed a lot of luggage into the TubeBags, plus dry bags on top. We easily have enough space for everything we need on Lake Inari for four days.
